Forty-eighth Year

THE HEAVENLY TRIUMPH

“Clothed with white robes and palms in their hands” (Rev. vii. 9).

HIS is the final triumph of Christ and His redeemed.  A great multitude that no man can number of all nations and kindreds and peoples and tongues” has come “out of great tribulation” and “washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb,” and now with palms of victory they stand before the throne and celebrate their triumph and His.  But none will be there but those that have won the victory.  Shall we be among them?  Not unless we, too, are bearing His cross, sharing His conflict and overcoming even as He through His great victory won for us.   God help us to he true.

“Soon the conflict will be done,
Soon the battle shall be won,
Soon shall wave the victor’s palm,
Soon shall ring the eternal psalm;
Then our joyful song shall be:
I have overcome through Thee.”
