“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the grace of our God” (Ps. xcii. 13).
HE true child of God will always be found deeply attached to his house and worship. “That thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the church of the living God,” is a large part of our Christian attitude and deportment. How beautiful the lives that have grown up like venerable palms in the churches of the saints. We can see them still with the eyes of memory, venerable fathers and mothers, whose forms and faces were associated with our earliest recollections of sacred things. Are we planted in the house of the Lord? Are we true to His cause and church?
“I love Thy kingdom, Lord,
The house of Thine abode;
The Church our blest Redeemer saved
With His own precious blood.”
