Thirty-second Year

PERENNIAL FRUIT

“Neither shall cease from yielding fruit” (Jer. xvii. 8).

HIS again is characteristic of a “tree planted by rivers of water.”  It is not “careful in the year of drought” nor “ceases from yielding fruit.”  Such lives are like the palm tree, independent of weather, conditions, surroundings or even soil.  Put such a man in a dungeon and like Bunyan, he will write a Pilgrim’s Progress.  Put him down in the heart of Africa and like Livingstone, he will make the savages think better of every white man for his sake.  Put him in Babylon and like Daniel, he will bring Babylon to the feet of Jehovah.  Put him in a fiery furnace and like the men of old, he will turn it into a testimony for Jehovah.

Beloved, are we bearing perennial fruit.
