“Fruitful in every good work” (Col. i. 10).
HE palm tree is the most fruitful and useful of all trees. Some varieties bear dates; others cocoanuts; others sago; others fans; others costly and valuable wood; others palm oil, palm honey, and palm wine. There is not a simple portion of the palm tree but is turned to account. So every part of our life should glorify God. Sixty seconds in a minute, sixty minutes in an hour and twenty-four hours in a day we should always be in our heavenly uniform and about our Father’s business. We should not be neutral anywhere but realize that in every situation we are representing Him and called to glorify Him. Are we fruitful in the family circle? Are we fruitful in our business and daily toil; in our Christian work; in our social relations and above all, in our secret fellowship with God Himself?
