“He that abideth in me and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit” (John xv. 5).
HE palm tree is a great fruit bearer. A single tree will bear from three hundred to six hundred pounds of dates. The Father is glorified by our bearing much fruit. This applies not only to our own Christian life and character but to the reproduction of our life in others. The standard which the Lord has given is: “Some thirty, some sixty, some an hundred fold.” Are we bringing thirty, sixty or one hundred souls to Christ? Dear reader, have you ever brought a soul to Christ at all? Are you reflecting honor and glory upon God by the fruitfulness of your life and the blessing that you scatter on every side? The secret is not hard to find. “Abide in Me and I in you.”
